Overview
In the third workshop of the series we will return to looking at research methods based modules. Having explored what the appropriate level of introductory social statistics was in Workshop 1, in this workshop we will follow the UG students’ progression into Stage 2 and focus on data collection and data analysis.
We will begin by comparing notes on teaching survey design and data analysis. Lack of curriculum space means that these topics are often combined into one generic ‘Research Methods’ module, and we will explore ways of how this could be taught most effectively and how learning activity and assessment can be designed to best engage with students’ needs and interests, using real life research and data.
Fee Information
The fee for the workshop is £60.
All fees include event materials, lunch and refreshments. They do not include travel and accommodation costs.
