Downloading and Exploring Survey Data from the UK Data Archive

Overview

This course introduces participants to the types of secondary data that are available for them to download from the UK Data Archive/ESDS, and the types of analysis that are possible following the acquisition of such data.

In the course of the day participants identify relevant data to download from the catalogue, download some example survey data sets and then load the data into a suitable statistical package to perform some basic types of statistical analysis.
