WISERD Conference – Knowing Wales: People, Place and Policy

Overview
On Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th June 2010 colleagues from WISERD partner Universities as well as invited speakers will be presenting their work at the annual WISERD Summer conference. The theme of this year’s conference is “Knowing Wales: People, Place, Policy.” The conference will include a range of paper and poster presentations showcasing the work of researchers working on Wales related themes
The conference will be of particular interest to academics and policy makers from across Wales with a wide range of subjects covered including transport, housing, economic regeneration and many more. It will begin on 28 June with a plenary address from an invited guest speaker which will be followed by a conference dinner. Conference sessions will be in held in the Glamorgan and Bute Buildings of Cardiff University.
For your information: This event is being filmed and recorded for promotional purpose. Filming will involve the use of a static camera intended to capture only the voice and image of the speakers.As a condition of sale and by attending the event, ticket holders fully consent to: a) being photographed, filmed and recorded as members of the audience; b) the resulting footage, images and recordings being published, broadcast, or licensed in connection with the event by the event organisers or any third party in any media throughout the world in perpetuity including in any publicity material, without any payment, reward, compensation or acknowledgement. If you attend any of the conference presentations there is a chance that your image (or voice) will be captured on film. If you would prefer to try and avoid this happening you should choose a seat that will not be in sight of the camera
