Living well with dementia: implementing what we know

Location:
Reichel Hall, Bangor University
Dates:
Wednesday 05 April 2017, 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Overview

This free day event is targeted at early career researchers working in the field of dementia research. It brings together those starting out their careers in dementia research with key stakeholders (health and social care practitioners, community groups, third sector organisations and people living with dementia and those who support them) to foster lasting collaboration between researchers, those who participate in research and those who use research findings to improve their practice.

The event will include research presentations, a presentation from a service which has successfully turned research into practice, and a talk from a person living with dementia about what they think of current research and what the future agenda should be.

Finally, there will be a workshop focused on how we can use research to improve practice, bringing together the different perspectives of researchers, those caring for people with dementia and those directly affected by the condition in their daily lives. The aim of this workshop will be to work together to think of ways to effectively put research into practice in Wales.

A buffet lunch is included and there is a maximum of 50 places, to ensure a relaxed and inclusive environment that encourages lively and open discussion.

Book your place.
