Baseline Audits

These documents are Baseline Audits of existing published statistics relating to our three selected localities—Central and West Coast, Heads of the Valleys, and the A55 Corridor.  They are structured around our eight key public policy themes, which are as follows: 

• Health, Wellbeing and Social Care
• Education and Young People
• Language, Citizenship and Identity
• Employment and Training
• Economic Development and Regeneration
• Crime, Public Space and Policing
• Housing and Transport
• Environment, Tourism and Leisure 

Their purpose is to provide a reference point for researchers interested in how these policy themes interact with localities, and vice versa.  We intend to update the documents when updated source statistics are available. The baseline audits should be read in conjunction with the Policy Briefing Documents and the Welsh Assembly Government’s Local Area Statistical Summary, which are available at the local authority scale.
