WISERD Quantitative Methods Training and Capacity Building Strategy Group
The Quantitative Methods Training and Capacity Building Strategy Group is a sub-group formed to support the work of the Training and Research Capacity Building Co-ordinator of WISERD. The T&RCB co-ordinator reports to the WISERD Executive.
Members of the Sub group include:
- Representatives from the partner institutions
- Representative from related organisations
The aims and purpose of the Training Research and Capacity Building Group are to:
- To steer and inform the development of quantitative methods training and research capacity building strategy at a micro level- across WISERD;
- To review and evaluate progress in developing and implementing training and capacity building activities that will promote the use of quantitative methods
across WISERD ;
- To monitor the development of training and capacity building strategy at a macro level (external to WISERD) and to consider and make recommendations for:
- how WISERD strategy might be informed by these developments
- how WISERD strategy might itself inform these developments;
- To respond to the recommendations of the ESRC/HEFCW Scoping Study into Quantitative Methods Capacity Building in Wales (2007)
- To work with other networks and organisations with a similar remit including AQMEN and NCRM
The Training and Capacity Building Strategy Subgroup will normally meet in person twice a year and, otherwise, conduct its business via videoconference.
