Description

This project aims to provide new understandings of the dynamic relationship between the generations in Welsh-English bilingual families in Wales. In particular, the research will consider how the experience and enactment of relationships associated with being a grandparent are shaped by the practices and identities derived from using Welsh. A survey and qualitative research will be carried out with grandparents and their families in different parts of Wales.
