Data Integration and Data Management
Objectives
- To create a data-rich searchable meta-database of quantitative and qualitative data sources
- To construct a GIS framework to integrate, manage, manipulate, analyse and disseminate ‘official’ quantitative data
- To investigate methods of capturing the spatial locations of qualitative data, both in terms of existing data and data collected as part of the localities research
- To move towards establishing a data rich environment of quantitative and qualitative data sets at various levels of spatial and temporal aggregation and across a variety of social science themes in order to provide a substantial framework for the investigation, development and promotion of mixed methods research, teaching and learning
