Biography
Yvonne Tommis is a graduate of the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and completed her PhD at Bangor University in 2001. Since then she has been involved in a number of health and social care research projects, initially with the Centre for Social Policy Research and Development (CSPRD), followed by the North Wales Research and Development Support Service (NWRDSS), before becoming a member of the All Wales Alliance for Research and Development in health and social care (AWARD) at its inception in 2004. She is now a member of the Centre for Applied Research and Evaluation Sciences and combines this with a post within the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research Data and methods (WISERD).
Research Interests
Yvonne is primarily interested in quantitative methods, questionnaire design and analysis, longitudinal research and multilevel modelling. She is also very interested in developing methodologies to facilitate the meaningful combining of qualitative and quantitative data and research techniques.
