Biography
Prior to joining WISERD, Catherine was a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, London, where she is still a Visiting Fellow. Catherine’s research interests are policy focussed; she was an academic expert on UKTI Steering Committee evaluating the progress of a project on the impact of FDI on business performance in the UK, 2008/09.
Research Interests
Catherine’s main areas of research are productivity and competitiveness. She has looked at the impact of a variety of factors such as foreign direct investment, technology, skills and innovation on the productive performance of firms and industrial sectors. Catherine’s research comprises of international comparisons of largely sectoral performance, and microeconometric analysis of UK firms.
