WISERD is managed and overseen by a number of different groups and boards.

WISERD Advisory Board

The WISERD Advisory Board is made up of senior academics involved in core WISERD research areas and representatives of key stakeholders. The role of the board is to facilitate WISERD’s academic development and engagement with policy communities across and beyond Wales and to input into the WISERD planning and reporting process. The Advisory Board meets annually during the autumn term.

WISERD Steering Group

The WISERD Steering Group is made up of the Pro-Vice Chancellors of Research for each of the partner institutions and the Heads of Schools involved in WISERD. The role of the group is to monitor the overall direction of WISERD activities and offer advice on the achievement of its aims. It will also assist in the development of strategies to foster sustainability beyond the three years’ of initial funding.

WISERD Executive Team

The WISERD Executive Team is made up of the Co-Directors of each WISERD partner institution, the WISERD Director, The Director of Operations and the Training & Capacity Building Co-ordinator. Its role is to co-ordinate the four WISERD programmes of work, maintain contact between WISERD and the partner institutions and input into the strategic direction of the Institute.
